Truckee Air Show Scheduled For September Canceled Due To July Plane Crash

TRUCKEE (CBS13) — The Truckee Air Show has been canceled this year due to last month's plane crash that left six people dead.

On Tuesday, the Truckee Tahoe Airport District announced that the upcoming show has been canceled.

The show was set to happen on Sept. 11.

Organizers say they made the decision to cancel the show out of respect for the friends and family of the people killed in the July 26 crash near the Truckee Airport.

On August 4, the Nevada County Sheriff's Office identified the victims of the crash.
