Trailhead Fire Grows To 2,151 Acres; 12 Percent Contained

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - The Trailhead Fire burning in Placer and El Dorado counties has grown overnight.

Fire officials say it grew by about 600 acres since Thursday, and now covers more than 2,100 acres total. Containment remains at 12 percent.

At least 2,600 structures along the middle fork of the American River in Todd Valley are in danger of burning. Mandatory evacuations are in place across the area.

A public meeting will be held on Friday at 7 p.m.  at Foresthill High School. Fire officials say they will provide residents with an informational update and answer questions.
