3 Reasons Why San Francisco Giants Fans Are Worried

Bruce Bochy and his team have had better days to say the least. The Giants have some injured players early in the season that have some San Francisco fans worried.

1. Jake Peavy

There was some question as to whether Peavy would be ready to go after he was sidelined by lower back discomfort, but he thew a bullpen Wednesday and came out of it alright. It appears he'll avoid a disabled list stint for now and is expected to start for the Giants Sunday.

2. Brandon Belt

An MRI Wednesday showed a mild groin strain. He's out of the lineup Wednesday, but the first baseman said he's optimistic he can avoid the disabled list. It's promising news, but Belt owners should still monitor his status over the next few days.

3. Matt Cain

Probably the biggest concern for San Francisco right now, Cain has been put on the DL with a strained flexor tendon. Last season he was limited to 15 starts, none after July 9th due to DL stints for a finger laceration, a hamstring strain, bone chips in his elbow and a bone spur in his ankle. Prior to last season he had not been on placed on the DL since 2013.
