Three Reasons Chip Kelly Wants Tim Tebow

The last time Tim Tebow played in the NFL was in 2012 with the New York Jets. Since then he has been working for ESPN as an analyst for the SEC Network.

The 27-year-old wants to be back in the league, not analyzing but playing, and the Philadelphia Eagles head coach Chip Kelly wants him, here's why.

1. Kelly has quarterback successes.

He wants to be that coach that gave that good guy a second chance and proved everyone wrong.

2. Kelly has nothing to lose.

Tebow has no guarentee money with this one year deal and the Eagles are loaded with quarterbacks that include: Sam Bradford, Mark Sanchez and Matt Barkley. So even if he doesn't work out, they will be just fine.

3. Kelly is planning for future NFL rules.

The NFL hasn't altered the PAT rules yet, but will vote on the changes in May, with the PAT line probably being moved back to the 15, and the 2-point conversion attempt moved to either the 1-yard line or an extra half-yard away from that spot. Maybe Kelly just wants Tebow for this reason only, time will only tell and I'm sure the media will be all over it.
