Three Arrested In Robberies At Phoenix Gay Bars

PHOENIX (AP) — Phoenix police say three people, including a juvenile, have been arrested in connection with robberies at two gay bars.

Police reported Saturday that 20-year-old Giovanna Lexus Leon, 18-year-old Andrew Juan Sainz and a 15-year-old boy have been booked on counts of armed robbery, aggravated assault and kidnapping.

Investigators say the robberies took place about an hour apart Tuesday night.

One was in the area of 7th and Turney avenues. Two victims were robbed at gunpoint in the parking lot of the bar.

The second was a few miles away at 10th Street and Indian School Road. Police say the suspects entered an open gate and robbed customers on that bar's patio.

Police say surveillance video at both sites helped lead them to the suspects.
