This Week: Dolce & Gabbana Boycotted And A 'Fashion Police' Hiatus

This week, a pair of designers made a lot of people angry and you may have to feed your fashion addiction elsewhere.

1. Dolce & Gabbana Controversy

The designing pair Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana are in hot water after comments made earlier in the week regarding in vitro fertilization and gay families. In an interview with Italian magazine Panorama, Dolce and Gabbana stated that IVF wasn't natural, referring to children born from the procedure as "synthetic" before going on to say "We oppose gay adoptions," and that "The only family is the traditional one."

Backlash struck in the form of social media with music icon Elton John speaking out against the designers and opting to boycott their products.

"How dare you refer to my beautiful children as 'synthetic,'" John posted on Instagram. "And  shame on you for wagging your judgmental little fingers at IVF – a miracle that allowed legions of loving people, both straight and gay to fulfill their dream of having children.

Another music icon, Madonna, also didn't enjoy what the designers said, posting her own Instagram caption stating that all children had souls.

Also, the designers were once lovers, so that makes this all even more interesting.

2. Fashion Police Hiatus

Attention, attention! You'll have to find another way to make fun of celebrities and the clothes they wear after E! announced its show "Fashion Police" will be placed on hiatus until September.

Earlier this month, hosts Kelly Osbourne and Kathy Griffin left the show following backlash from fellow host Guiliana Rancic's comments about actress/singer Zendaya's hair looking like it smelled of marijuana.

Despite the two resignations, the show does plan on being back in full force with remaining hosts Rancic and Brad Goreski and two new possible hosts.

3. Surprise, Surprise

It wasn't quite a Beyonce surprise, but hip-hop's biggest newcomer, Kendrick Lamar, dropped his latest album "To Pimp A Butterfly" a week earlier than expected. In doing so, Lamar basically broke the Internet, not only breaking a Spotify streaming record previously held by Drake, but also breaking that same streaming record the very next day.

That's right, Lamar broke a record by breaking his own record a day later.

That, ladies and gentlemen, is true talent, hard work, and artistry.

4. Trump 2016

Get ready to mark your ballots…or not. This week, real estate mogul and reality TV star Donald Trump announced that he is heading to New Hampshire; a sign that he may be considering a presidential bin again.

Trump also stated this week that was planning to form a presidential exploratory committee to garner funds for a possible campaign. It looks like he may actually be serious.

While exciting for the 2016 campaign trail, let's be honest, this will probably go one of one way: Trump won't be president in 2016.

5. Rehab

Liza Minelli checked herself into rehab and is making "excellent progress" according to a representative of the entertainer.

Spokesman Scott Gorenstein said ""Minnelli has valiantly battled substance abuse over the years and whenever she has needed to seek treatment she has done so. She is currently making excellent progress at an undisclosed facility."
