Crews Battling 75-Acre Fire In Stanislaus National Forest

PILOT PEAK (CBS13) - The latest on the Old Fire in the Stanislaus National Forest:

9:12 p.m.

Crews say the fire has grown to 75 acres Tuesday night. Bark beetle-killed trees are complicating firefighting efforts, officials say.

The fire remains 0 percent contained.

Cal Fire is helping in the firefight.

5:35 p.m.

Crews are responding to a wildfire in the Stanislaus National Forest Tuesday afternoon.

The fire was reported southwest of Pilot Peak, below Highway 120, forest officials say. The fire has burned about 50 acres and no containment has been reported.
