Grant opened the show's second segment by claiming that the San Francisco 49ers have weathered a significant chunk of the storm, and that, with Aldon Smith and Navarro Bowman set to return in the coming weeks it seems to follow that, at 4-3, the 49ers have put themselves in a good position to make the playoffs heading into the second half of the NFL season. Grant then discussed the NFL's strongest teams heading into the second half of the year, enumerating the Denver Broncos and Dallas Cowboys as the favorites in their respective conferences.
