Teen Reported Missing Out Of Stockton

STOCKTON (CBS13) – A Stockton family is looking for a teenage girl who went missing at Walmart on Black Friday.

Jasmine Garcia, 16, was shopping with her parents at the Walmart on Hammer Lane when she mysteriously disappeared.

Garcia walked away to look at items at the makeup counter but never returned.

A missing person's report has been filed with the Stockton Police Department.

Garcia's mother said her daughter was a mariachi player and is very worried.

"People are saying, 'Did she run away?' it's not like she had time to plan it. You know, she didn't even know she was going to the store that day. She doesn't have a cell phone, it's not like she could have contacted someone and said 'hey, I'm going to be at the Walmart store, you know," said cousin Mariza Ruelas.

A group of volunteers have created flyers for the missing teen and plan to meet at the store Monday evening to start passing them out.
