FAIRFIELD (CBS13) - A suspect is in custody this morning in connection with the kidnapping of a Fairfield boy on Monday morning.

At around 4:45 a.m., Paul Guzman put his sleeping 9-year-old son in the car as it warmed up before their drive to school. Guzman went inside to get something, and when he came back, the car was gone.

A statewide amber alert went out with no suspect description.

Just two miles away, someone noticed the car parked -- with the sleeping boy inside -- and called police.

Police have not identified the suspect.
