Suspect In Deadly Stockton-Area Shooting Arrested

STOCKTON (CBS13) – Authorities have arrested a man suspected in a fatal shooting in Stockton over the weekend.

The shooting happened late Sunday night. The San Joaquin County Sheriff's Office says deputies were called to the 2800 block of North E Street and found a shooting victim.

Medics responded and tried to save the person's life, but the person was soon pronounced dead.

Detectives have been investigating the incident with the help of the AB109 task force. Wednesday, they announced that one man, Lewis Dozier, had been arrested in connection to the incident.

Dozier is facing charges of homicide, felon in possession of a firearm and a no bail warrant.
