UPDATE: Man Shot In Fairfield Lowe's Wanted In Shooting Of Boy In Concord

3:45 p.m. UPDATE: Concord Police say the suspect from the Fairfield Lowe's was wanted for the shooting of an 8-year-old boy that happened on Friday.

Investigators say James Jarrad allegedly shot the boy on Friday on the 2900 block of La Salle Avenue.

What prompted Monday's shooting at the Fairfield Lowe's is still unknown.

FAIRFIELD (CBS13) - Police are investigating an officer-involved shooting at a Lowe's store in Fairfield.

The shooting happened Monday afternoon at the store on 3400 North Texas St. The suspect was taken to a local trauma center in critical condition, according to Cade Beckwith, a Fairfield Police Department spokesperson.

Police have not released further details.

A Lowe's representative says the store was closed during the shooting, but has since reopened. Employees are cooperating with the investigation.
