Suspect Barricades Self Inside Sacramento County Gas Station With Employees Inside

SACRAMENTO COUNTY (CBS13) — A suspect who was on the run from the California Highway Patrol barricaded himself inside of a gas station with employees inside, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department.

The California Highway Patrol found the suspect while they were conducting an unrelated accident investigation. The suspect then fled to the Shell Station at Watt Avenue and Antelope Boulevard.

Employees inside the store were in the back room, and it was unclear if the suspect knew they were in the store.

Officers captured the suspect just before 10 p.m. on Wednesday night.
