Surveillance Video Shows Suspected Car Thieves In Action In Antelope

ANTELOPE (CBS13) — Neighbors are trying to identify suspected car thieves who are accused of stealing a car from their neighborhood.

Paul Clem says the video captured on Sunday evening from his home security system is disturbing. It shows two people appearing to case his neighbor's car. In less than a minute, one of them is in the car and gets comfortable.

Turns on the dome light. Adjusts the seat," he said.

Within seconds, the car starts and it's gone.

Clem says his neighbor didn't know the car was stolen until the next day and asked to see his security video.

"What the sheriff said on the phone, there's nothing they can do unless they have a license plate or they're caught red-handed," he said.

When Clem posted the alleged crime in progress on social media, neighbors in the Antelope area began immediately weighing in.

Now the search is on for the car and the suspects.
