Crystal Middle School in Suisun City placed on lockdown as police searched for pursuit suspects

SUISUN CITY – A Suisun City middle school was placed on lockdown Wednesday due to nearby police activity involving the Fairfield Police Department, according to the Suisun City Police Department. 

Crystal Middle School, located off Whispering Bay Lane and Driftwood Road, was placed on lockdown due to police activity in the neighborhood adjacent to the school, according to Suisun City police. 

The lockdown was lifted around 2:45 p.m. and dismissal had begun, Suisun City police said.

The Fairfield Police Department said they spotted a stolen vehicle near East Tabor Avenue and Grande Circle. When officers tried to stop the driver, they said the driver took off and a pursuit ensued. 

After coming to a stop near Crystal Middle School, police said three people in the car ran off. A perimeter was established and the school was placed on lockdown.

The suspects were never located.
