Yoda, a Jack Russell terrier mix, is the Stockton Unified School District's first K-9 officers. He's highly trained to find methamphetamine, cocaine, heroin, pot and guns on school campuses.

He's proof size doesn't matter.

"You would expect to have a German shepherd, but having this, you wouldn't notice," one student said.

Yoda was rescued from a high-kill shelter, chosen for the program out of Oakley, and he completed several hundred hours of training before starting his work.
