Woman Arrested After Driving Stolen Car To Jail

RED BLUFF, Calif. (AP) — A Northern California woman is under arrest after she reportedly drove a stolen van to the Tehama County Jail to visit her husband, who was arrested last week on suspicion of stealing a vehicle.

The Redding Record-Searchlight reports Tehama County deputies on Sunday arrested Michelle Noland after she unlocked and tried to start the van parked near the county jail.

Deputies had been looking for the car since it and other items were reported stolen earlier Sunday from a pre-school in Red Bluff.

Investigators found several items taken during the burglary inside the vehicle.

Authorities say the 41-year-old has just visited her husband who was arrested last week on suspicion of vehicle theft, burglary and attempting to run from police.
