Stockton Teen Says Man Tried To Kidnap Her As She Walked To School

STOCKTON (CBS13) - Authorities are investigating an attempted kidnapping of a teen who was walking to school Friday morning.

The incident happened near Iverness Way and Fox Creek Drive. According to the Stockton Police Department, the 17-year-old girl says she was walking to McNair High School when someone drove up to her.

A man then jumped out of the car and tried to pull her inside, the girl says. Fighting back, the girl says she was able to escape the man's grasp and get away.

The suspect, described only as a Hispanic or Asian man in his 20s of average height and weight, jumped back in the car and took off. The car is described as a silver or gold late 80s to early 90s Honda or Toyota sedan.
