Stockton Teachers Accuse District Of Intimidation In Labor Dispute

STOCKTON (CBS13) — The Stockton Teachers Association is accusing the school district of intimidating teachers during a labor dispute.

The state's teachers association filed unfair labor practice charges against the district after claims intern and probationary teachers were told if they go on strike, they will be terminated.

"[The Public Employment Relations Board] could take action; they could choose to let it go," said Stockton Teachers Association President Erich Myers. "We are asking them to expedite their decision."

Teachers say they have not decided if they will strike after 14 months of negotiations.
