Man Arrested In 2012 Murder Of 84-Year-Old Stockton Woman

UPDATE: Police say they have made an arrest in the 2012 murder of Hazel Dingman.

The Stockton Police Department says 76-year-old Alvin Guy has been arrested. He is facing murder and rape charges.

He was arrested in North Las Vegas. He was residing in Stockton at the time of the murder, Stockton Police say, but fled after the murder.

Guy is a registered sex offender.

STOCKTON (CBS13) - The Stockton Police Department is revealing an update in the 2012 murder case of Hazel Dingman.

The 84-year-old was found brutally murdered in her Stockton home on July 5, 2012.

No suspects were ever arrested or identified.

It is unclear what police will be revealing on Thursday.

Dingman's family, law enforcement representatives and the San Joaquin County District Attorney are expected to speak at Thursday's conference.
