Stockton Police Seize Several Vehicles Allegedly Involved In Sideshow

STOCKTON (CBS13) -- Stockton Police quietly carried out a "Warrant mission" Saturday morning to seize several vehicles they say were involved in the May 1st Sideshow on Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.

Stockton Police tell CBS13 they received numerous calls from citizens and area businesses that reported several vehicles doing "burnouts and doughnuts" on Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd between El Dorado Street and Airport Way.  Stockton Police was concerned about the safety of pedestrians in the area and responded.

Upon arrival to the scene, Stockton Police say a group of people surrounded a marked unit, kicked and threw objects at the vehicle as well.  There were no injuries during the incident but Police launched an investigation into the persons responsible.

With the help of surveillance footage of the event, police were able to identify several vehicles involved in the "sideshow" and obtained warrants for their seizure.  7 of the 10 vehicles were found and seized by authorities.
