Stockton Police Investigating Death Of Boy, 2

STOCKTON (CBS13) - Authorities are investigating the death of a 2-year-old boy.

The Stockton Police Department says, back on Saturday, the Pleasanton Police Department alerted them about a child death investigation. Pleasanton police say a 2-year-old boy was brought to a hospital and died.

Detectives originally believed the incident leading to the boy's death may have happened in Oakland, but their investigation soon led them to a home along the 2500 block of Diamonds Oaks Street in Stockton. Detectives with the Stockton Police Family Crimes unit are now investigating.

Investigators are now waiting for an autopsy to determine what exactly was the boy's cause of death.
