Stockton Man Claims Police Ticketed His Car After Social Media Argument

STOCKTON (CBS13) — A Stockton man claims an officer went onto his private property in the middle of the night to ticket his parked car in retaliation for a Facebook post.

Motecuzoma Sanchez says he was hit with a $300 citation for an expired registration on his car after arguing with Stockton Police on social media.

He has since filed a harassment complaint against the department.

"I believe I was targeted and that this was a veiled threat sending me a message that they could find me and they were retaliating for a debate I had the day before on Facebook," Sanchez said.

Stockton Police issued the following statement: "This has become a personnel matter. The allegations are currently being investigated by our professional standards section."
