Stockton Fire Department Investigating Suspicious Fire

STOCKTON (CBS13) – The Stockton Fire Department is looking for a suspect caught on camera after a possible arson on the Fourth of July.

Surveillance video of the incident has been released. It happened about 2:30 a.m. on Oakhurst Way.

The owner woke up to the smell of smoke and called the fire department.

"I was pet sitting my daughter's dogs," Marian Babaoaka said. "[A] quite senior golden retriever she had been laying against the garage door, and when the fire erupted it singed her fur."

The dog is okay.

Investigators are asking that anyone with information come forward.
