Stockton City Council Candidate's Car Stolen Outside City Hall During Meeting

STOCKTON (CBS13) — A candidate for Stockton City Council says his car was stolen from outside of City Hall on Tuesday.

Steve Colangelo says he parked across the street from city hall during a meeting that lasted until 1 a.m. When he came out, his car was gone.

"Well, I had the mayor drive me. I was stranded. I had no other ride. He was the only other set of wheels in the parking lot at the time," he said.

Stockton Mayor Anthony Silva says three other vehicles around City Hall were broken into. He's looking into whether city cameras captured the thieves.
