Man dead, woman hospitalized after stabbing at DOCO in Sacramento, police say
Law enforcement officials are investigating after two people were stabbed at the Downtown Commons (DOCO) in Sacramento on Monday night.
Sacramento police said it happened along 4th and K streets, at the end of DOCO where the restaurant Yard House is located.
The victims were a man and a woman. Police said the man died from his injuries, while the woman has been hospitalized.
Family members have since identified the man as 21-year-old Dustin Dewitt. An online fundraiser to support Dewitt's family has collected about $20,000 in donations as of Tuesday evening.
Exactly what led up to the stabbing remains under investigation, police said.
No suspect information was released by investigators.
