Southern California Sheriff's Deputies Seek 2 Men After Teen's Rape

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies are searching for two men in the kidnapping and rape of a teenage girl in an unincorporated area of the San Gabriel Valley.

The San Gabriel Valley Tribune reports that the teen was walking around 6:30 p.m. Saturday when the men stopped their car in front of her, blindfolded her and drove her to an unknown location where they raped her.

Sheriff's Sgt. James Beamon says the girl was then released and told not to tell anyone.

The attack happened in Bassett, an unincorporated area southeast of El Monte.

She described her attackers as two Hispanic men in their late 20s who drove an older-model, black Honda Civic.

The first three letters of the license plate read 2-W-E.
