1 Dead In South Sacramento Crash, 3-Year-Old Child Critically Injured

SOUTH SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — A man is dead and a child is in critical condition after his car veered into on coming traffic and hit a large truck.

The crash happened at around 3:18 p.m. on Hedge Avenue near Florin Road. The car veered toward the truck and hit it head on. The 30-year-old man behind the wheel was declared dead at the scene.

A 3-year-old child is in critical condition after the crash.

The driver of the truck was uninjured physically, but says he was shaken up by the crash.
