Shots Fired, Teen Stabbed In Front Of Fresno High School

FRESNO, Calif. (AP) -- A 17-year-old boy has suffered life-threatening injuries after being stabbed in front of a Fresno high school.

The Fresno Bee reports gunshots were also fired during the Tuesday morning fight, which occurred before class began and did not disrupt operations at Edison High School.

Police Lt. Joe Gomez said the victim was stabbed in the street in front of the school and climbed a six-foot fence before passing out. Officers found him unconscious on campus grounds, right under the school sign.

A van that passed the school during the fight was hit by a bullet.

Police have not released information about a motive or suspect in the case.
