Shooting Investigation Underway Near Sacramento State Aquatic Center

GOLD RIVER (CBS13) — Authorities are investigating a reported shooting near the Sacramento State Aquatic Center at the Nimbus Dam.

Police say the shots were fired around 6:30 p.m. after two groups were arguing in the recreational area. They say there were a lot of people in the area at the time of the shooting, but no injuries were reported.

CHP said people on scene were cooperating with the investigation. They are still looking for suspects.

According to the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office, deputies assisted State Parks officials at the scene. The California Highway Patrol is investigating the shooting.

No other details about the incident have been released.
