Fairfield man, 24, dies after shooting that left two others hurt

3 injured in targeted shooting in Fairfield

FAIRFIELD — One person has now died after the triple shooting in Fairfield Monday night, police said.

The shooting happened around 7:30 p.m. along Puffin Circle. Police said it appears to have been a targeted shooting and that there was no threat to the public.

Yellow police tape surrounded a vehicle that was hit by at least one bullet. That vehicle was set to be towed from the scene.

On Wednesday, Fairfield police revealed that one of the people shot, 24-year-old Brandon Wink, had died. 

The other two people hurt have been released from the hospital and are recovering, police said. 

No further details were available on the circumstances of the shooting or a suspected shooter.
