Rancho Cordova Shooting Suspects Accused Of Exchanging Gun Fire Across Street

4:30 p.m. UPDATE: Three people have been arrested in a cross-street shooting in Rancho Cordova.

Sacramento County Sheriff's deputies say a suspect exited a home and fired a high-powered rifle at the home across the street. Two suspects came out of the targeted home and returned fire.

Two people were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

RANCHO CORDOVA (CBS13) - Sacramento County Sheriff's Department deputies are responding to reports of someone firing an AK-47 in the 2400 block of Negrara Way in Rancho Cordova.

Deputies are urging people to avoid the area, and those in the vicinity are being told to shelter in place.

A sheriff's department says, as far as they know, no one has been shot.

Williamson Elementary School has been placed on lockdown. It is about five blocks away from where the shooting was reported. There are no reports the incident involved the school.

The intersections of Coloma Road near Aramon and Zinfandel Drive near Beclan Drive are being affected.
