Sheriff: 2 Shot Dead In Possible Dispute Over Family Inheritance

EL DORADO COUNTY (CBS13) — Sheriff's deputies have detained a man in connection with the shooting deaths of his mother and brother in El Dorado County on Wednesday.

The shooting happened just after 5 p.m., and deputies say it may have been a dispute over an inheritance.

An elderly woman and her son were shot dead at a Rocky Ridge Road home. Deputies were outside the house waiting for a search warrant so they can process the crime scene inside the house.

Investigators say they were called out to the home by the wife of the dead son who discovered the grisly scene when she knocked on the family home's front door.

Thursday, detectives revealed the names of all the people involved. Milo Wallace, 49, was the man arrested, while 71-year-old Sandra and 38-year-old Matthew Wallace were the elderly woman and son found shot to death.

Milo has been booked at El Dorado County Jail and is being held without bail. He's facing murder and assault with a deadly weapon charges.
