Shasta County Girl Claims Man Tried To Lure Her Into Car

SHASTA COUNTY (CBS13) - Officials in Shasta County are investigating after a man reportedly tried to lure a 13-year-old girl into his car.

The girl's family reported the incident to authorities on Monday morning.

On Wednesday, the victim was walking home from west cottonwood school, the family says, when she saw a dark-blue sedan pull alongside her.

The man inside the car asked the girl several times if he could give her a ride. The girl screamed and ran to family member's home nearby.
