Series Of Storms Start Will Start With A Wet Friday Morning Commute In Sacramento

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — Get ready for a wet commute to end your work week.

Rain is expected on Friday in the Sacramento area, just in time for the morning drive, but before that comes, it's going to be a windy Thursday.

A wind advisory is in effect from 3 p.m. on Thursday through Friday as the first wave of rain approaches.

By 5 a.m. on Friday, the rain should be pushing south through the valley toward Sacramento and arrive by the time most commuters are heading to work.

Don't expect fresh powder out of this one: Snow levels will stay above 7,500 feet.

Some more scattered rain is expected on Saturday with more coming on Sunday. About 1 to 2 inches of rain are expected over the course of the next five days.
