Some Stanislaus County Public Sector Workers Striking

MODESTO (CBS13) – Stanislaus County public sector workers are striking Monday morning.
SEIU Local 521 members are meeting in front of the county community services agency in Modesto, calling for better labor practices like improving staffing and working conditions for the county's social workers and mental health clinicians.
A spokesperson at Community Service Agency in #Modesto where some Stanislaus County employees are on strike today says he is assessing the situation and will release info on the impact of services today.

Contract negotiations have been going on since April.
Crowds are expected to stay outside the community services agency in Modesto until Monday evening.
