Second Suspect Arrested For Stabbing At Elk Grove Apartments

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - A second person has been arrested for the stabbing of three men following an argument at an Elk Grove apartment complex.

On Friday the suspects reportedly got into a fight with the men at the complex in the 8500 block of Elk Grove-Florin Road after the men confronted the suspects over speeding in the parking lot, according to an Elk Grove Police Department statement. During the course of the fight, the suspects allegedly stabbed the victims.

One suspect, 20-year-old Loc Nguyen, suffered a fracture to his pinky finger and abrasions to his face and hands. He went to Kaiser South hospital to be treated and was arrested. The second suspect, 18-year-old Johnny Tran, surrendered to police after seeing a TV news report naming him as a suspect.

All of the victims' injuries are believed to be non-life threatening.

Nguyen and Tran are in custody at the Sacramento Main Jail facing the charge of assault with a deadly weapon. Bail for each suspect is set at $50,000.
