Searches End For Missing Morgan Hill Teen Sierra LaMar

MORGAN HILL, Calif. (AP) - The searches for a missing Northern California teen are coming to an end.

KGO reports Tuesday that police believe 15-year-old Sierra LaMar of Morgan Hill was kidnapped and murdered in March 2012.

She disappeared on her way to school in Central California.

Volunteers have searched for her weekly.

The girl's father Steve LaMar says they've run out of viable search areas.

Searches will only take place when new tips and information come in.

Antolin Garcia-Torres has been charged in the presumed killing and disappearance of the girl.

He is slated to return to court next month where the judge may set a trial date.
