Ahmad Brooks was indicted for one count of sexual battery against the same woman the grand jury indicted former 49er Ray McDonald on a rape charge.

The indictments stem from a December 2014 party at McDonald's home.

General Manager Trent Baalke released a statement saying he is aware of the charges and has sent Brooks home from Denver and will not play in Saturday's preseason game against the Broncos.

McDonald was jailed for alleged domestic violence in August. The district attorney declined to file charges against him in November. He was released following in December as the sexual assault investigation began.

The Chicago Bears signed McDonald in the offseason, but the team released him after another domestic violence incident in May.
