Sacramento Woman, 20, Netted In Super Bowl Human Trafficking Sting

MILPITAS (CBS13) - Authorities have arrested a Sacramento woman after finding a teen trying to be sold for sex in Santa Clara County.

Detectives working as part of the Super Bowl Human Trafficking Operations spearheaded the operation. According to the Santa Clara Sheriff's Office, undercover detectives set up a rendezvous with a woman who was posting on Backpage, an adult escort services website.

The woman agreed to meet at a motel in Milpitas on Wednesday. Undercover detectives made the rendezvous and found three females in the room.

One of girls was only 17, detectives say. Investigators believe the oldest woman, 20-year-old Sacramento resident Tekera Scott, was exploiting the teen.

Scott has been arrested and she's facing human trafficking of a minor and pandering charges.
