Sacramento State Basketball Could Host Big Sky Tournament—In Reno?

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — If the Sacramento State men's basketball team wins the regular-season Big Sky Conference championship, it may be hosting the conference tournament in Reno.

Big Sky officials toured three venues, including the Reno Events Center, San Joaquin Delta College and McClellan Park.

A spokesman for the conference said of those three, Reno would win. Sacramento State's Hornet's Nest was deemed not large enough.

Sleep Train Arena, Memorial Auditorium and UC Davis are already booked when the tournament would take place from March 12 to 14. Sleep Train is hosting Marvel Universe Live, while Memorial Auditorium is hosting a dance regional. UC Davis gymnastics will be facing Washington on March 13.
