Sacramento Soccer Pitch In A New York Minute

NEW YORK (CBS13) – With the clock ticking, in a tower that touches the sky, Major League Soccer's commish proved camera shy.

Despite the hustle and bustle, all remains hush-hush at these headquarters of Major League Soccer.

The new expansion franchise secrets kept in a locker, trying to hammer home his bid Sacramento's mayor did.

"It was a great meeting. Really proud of our ownership group, we got a chance to introduce ourselves to the commissioner," said Mayor Kevin Johnson.

But he couldn't say which way the MLS is leaning after emerging from their Manhattan meeting.

"Any sense on your part how close this race is between Sacramento and any other cities?" we ask. "No idea, no idea for us," Johnson said.
