Sacramento Sheriffs Investigate Fatal Shooting Near 44th and 16th

SACRAMENTO COUNTY (CBS13) -- The Sacramento Sheriff's Department is on scene investigating a shooting that occurred shortly after 6:30 tonight near the corner of 44th Street and 16th Avenue.

The department has now opened a homicide investigation, as the indecent left one dead, according to public information officer Tony Trunbull.
