Sacramento police investigating hit-and-run that left man dead on Roseville Road

SACRAMENTO – An investigation is underway after a hit-and-run left a person dead along a Sacramento road Thursday morning.

Sacramento police say, around 7 a.m., officers responded near Roseville Road and Longview Drive to investigate reports of a body on the ground.

First responders found a man at the scene who was soon pronounced dead, police say.

No other details about the man have been released, but police believe he was killed in a hit-and-run.

Police have not yet released any description of the hit-and-run suspect.

Due to the investigation, Roseville Road is closed between Longview Drive and Tri Stations Road.
