WEST SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — The Sacramento River Cats spent the night in the spotlight on Thursday as for the first time ever, a regular-season game was on national TV.

Andy Parrino sent fans home happy with a home run in the 11th inning to give the home team a 7-5 win. It's the team's eighth walkoff win this season.

"The backdrop, the playing surface, the press box—it all comes together, it's really impressive," said Dick Gabriel.

The sellout crowd arrived early and they were camera ready. Players were pumped too.

"Minor league baseball is a stepping stone for these players, hoping to get there," said announcer Doug Flynn. "Getting there is one thing but staying there, it's pretty tough."
