Sacramento Police Seeking Suspect In Midtown Homicide

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — The Sacramento Police Department wants the public's help finding a suspect in this weekend's Midtown murder.

Mohammad Joseph Khan is wanted for the murder of Kelsey Snyder that happened on June 28.

Police have not released the cause of death in the homicide, but believe Khan is armed with a gun and possibly heading to Mexico.

A friend entered Snyder's apartment near 17th and P streets and found her unresponsive, police say.

Police say that homicide detectives found "obvious signs of trauma" to the woman.

While detectives have not identified a specific motive for the murder, they do believe that the incident wasn't random.
