Sacramento Police Apprehend Man After Vehicle Pursuit, Standoff
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) -- The Sacramento Police Department has taken a man into custody after a vehicle pursuit that lead them through the Del Paso Heights area for more than a half an hour and ended with a standoff on Northgate Boulevard.
The incident began with an attempt to pull the suspect over near Sunbeam Avenue and Richards Boulevard at 3:19 a.m. Thursday.

The suspect, driving a dark-colored SUV, immediately began evading police.
The vehicle stopped near El Camino Avenue briefly around 3:42 a.m. before the pursuit continued to a 7-eleven on Northgate Blvd. The vehicle sustained damage, losing its front tires during the pursuit.

Police negotiated with the man for nearly 30 minutes after the vehicle reached this location.
