Sacramento Police Chief Sam Somers Announces Retirement
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — Sacramento Police Chief Sam Somers has announced he is retiring later this year.
His last day will be on Dec. 9 2016.
"At the end of last year I had discussions with my family and made a promise to retire before the end of the year. I am keeping my promise to them," Somers said in a statement.
Somers has served Sacramento for 32 years, following in the footsteps of his father.
