Pedestrian Hit, Killed On I-5 In Sacramento
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — Officers are investigating a crash that left a pedestrian dead on Interstate 5 in Sacramento early Wednesday morning.
California Highway Patrol says the incident happened just after 5:30 a.m. near Richards Boulevard.
A pedestrian was struck and killed on the freeway, officers say. It's unclear why the person was on the freeway.

Authorities have not released the identity of the pedestrian.
Southbound I-5 just north of the American River was reduced to three lanes due to the incident. All lanes were reopened a little after 7 a.m.
