Sacramento Man Accused Of Robbing 15 Sandwich Shops

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — A man accused of robbing more than a dozen local sandwich shops is now behind bars.

Rowena Aguilar says the man was nice at first, ordering two turkey avocado sandwiches to go.

"I made his sandwiches, he came up to the register and his card kept declining," she said.

So he left the subs behind and took off with some extra greens from the register.

"If I knew it was happening, I would have gotten my mace out," she said.

Investigators say Frank Solorzano, 28, of Sacramento made off with $600 at the Folsom Mr. Pickles, one of roughly fifteen shops he's suspected of robbing.

"He had a blank gift card and once we figured it wasn't real, he asked for the money," said Lorena Salsedo, who works at the Granite Bay Mr. Pickles.

The cashier said no, leaving the suspect to settle for the subs and the contents of the tip jar.

"At least he got his food. I guess he was hungry," she said.
